Drawing surface on textured tinted paper -- going back to a very old and unfinished sketchbook...3/4/2021 I went to the pears due to their basic forms. Here I am using a black colored pencil and a white colored pencil on the brown paper. I started with the drawing below - of the orchids and the mirror - but wow - it got way too complicated. I started with pencil and then went to conte crayon. Not a pretty picture.
I like the complexity of the space and the gestures of the plant. Was listening to Sean Carroll physics lecture on symmetries. I know enough math to mostly understand some of what he was saying.
