small quick looks at large landscapes

I have been enjoying making small paintings of large views. I have noticed that in terms of scale if you want to capture a large vista you have to make it small.
I will also admit it's very fun to knock these out.
​Above is a view of the South Fork from a bridge overlooking a deep pool. It's amazing how the river changes each winter.  

This is a place near Thorp I think of as "The Very Beautiful Spot" you can see a large oxbow in the Yakima River.  In the distance you can see the ridges that have been slowly folding over the eons.
