Taneum River in Winter 2020

This is one of my favorite spots on a little river in eastern Washington.  There is a very large painting of a spot near this one but from summer. 

This is a very small painting - 14" x 11" - and done in about four hours over the course of a few days -- then later there will be very small changes. 

It is interesting how the image changes and revels what is important after working on it an hour or two. I am amazed at how much more I see over time.

In the winter the river is much larger from the melting snow - and on this day is was tearing through the liver river channel. 

I have caught a few small fish near here...
